I really wanted to like this place! I really did, and although I'm giving it a 3 stars, I probably will try something else next time I want breakfast. I may go back to try it for lunch. That said, we went for Sunday brunch and as soon as I walked in I noticed a dying roach just inside the doorway on its back still wiggling its legs. I was picturing what the kit hen must look like. Ordering and paying at the counter was ok I guess but I'd prefer to be seated and waited on in the morning, especially if I haven't yet had my coffee. That said, I really didn't like the self serve coffee station they had set up. The tables are pretty close together so it's not an easy task to walk over to that area, between dining customers, pour your coffee and walk back without spilling it on someone. Since it was my first time here, I didn't really realize how everything was set up at first so I asked for some coffee and a stressed and rushed lady barked at me, "Coffee's coming!" I later realized they were out and brewing more. As soon as they came out with a new canister of coffee, people started lining up, which makes you feel like you're intruding on the personal space of dining customers, seated next to the station. When I got my turn to get some coffee, I found the hutch it was located on was really dusty up where the mugs were located and they were already out of coffee again. I asked the lady again if it could be filled and she seemed flustered. After finally getting my coffee and getting settled in, the food came and boy were the portion sizes ENORMOUS. I got the banana pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. The eggs were fine. The pancakes were really bad though. There were three HUGE pancakes on a giant plate coupled with about 2 tablespoons of syrup on the side in a little cup. I tried to get a server's attention about needing more syrup but after tasting the pancakes, I soon realized no amount of syrup could make me eat them. They weren't horrible I guess, they were just dense, dry, tasteless and rubbery. My mother in law got eggs with a meat and home fries and seemed to like hers. If you go, I strongly recommend getting eggs and bacon and not the pancakes. Drink your coffee before you go! I wasn't very fond of the ambiance and crowded seating. I'd probably rather eat at the dirty chain restaurant, Bob Evans. It's sad because I'd rather support local businesses but this one just isn't set up very intelligently.

I think we all know how hard REAL and tasty food is to come by in this area. I took my 2 little guys here for lunch and was very happy with my salad (the best anywhere south of Annapolis!). Finally, a place I can go and enjoy food! Real food! Not the processed, fatty, fake, salty stuff you get at most other "order at the counter" restaurants in northern Calvert. My 5 and 6 year old boys shared the mini burgers and fries, and it was plenty. The burgers were DELICIOUS, juicy, flavorful, and came on a great bun. I'll be back for sure!

Crispy Rockfish BLT (tuesday's special) was an amazing! A great value for $9.95, two big strips of fish with plenty of bacon. It was served with a huge serving of slaw, which was just the right addition for extra juiciness and flavor to top the sandwich with. Otherwise it would have been too dry, and I would have asked for some salad dressing to drizzle on it. This place has friendly service, a local feel, and lots and lots of seating.

The food here is generally very good. Their sandwiches are generally extremely good. French fries and onion rings are great. Side salads tend toward the bland side, with little seasoning. Mac and cheese seems cheesy enough, but again, underseasoned. Greek salad uses ripe olive not kalamata! Should not be called a Greek salad. My biggest frustration with this restaurant which prevents me from going more often, is the menu. There is no menu board on the wall (other than a white board with daily specials). You are expected to pick up a paper menu, read the entire 5 pages of a very difficult to read and poorly designed layout, and make a decision while standing in line. They need a menu board on the wall, and the printed menu should be better designed, not just wall to wall, top to bottom words all running together. One more thing, I rarely see anyone smile at the front desk, they seem too busy, stressed out and understaffed.

A solid meal with one misstep. My girlfriend and I just ate lunch here. She had the crabcake sandwich with potato salad and an unsweet tea; I had the large breakfast with French toast instead of hotcakes, sausage, home fries and scrambled eggs, with coffee. The coffee is serve yourself, which I liked. The French toast was the one misstep I mentioned. Very light on the egg wash and could've been warmer. I think it probably got hung up waiting on the rest of my or my girlfriends' meals. In any case, everything else was excellent. We also had a slice of lemon cake and chocolate pecan pie, both of which were tasty. The atmosphere reminds me a lot of places I used to go in Santa Fe or the Sierra foothills. Quaint without being pretentious. Dog friendly as well. We will more than likely be back in the future - probably will check out their Sunday brunch someday as well.

Dream Weaver changed their layout, menu, and service and it is a nice change. I'm not sure why they had trouble with service before. We went Saturday morning for brunch and saw that instead of normal waiter service, you now order at the front counter and food is brought to you. Coffee is self-service in the dining area. The menu seems more limited at first glance. I had normally ordered one of their many omelettes and was a little dismayed because the new menu only had "3 egg omelette" but the waitress asked me what I wanted in it, so although they don't have specific omelettes on the menu, it seems like you can create a custom combo. My husband got steak and eggs. The food came out very quickly. The coffee was hot and abundant. My omelette was pretty perfect. lots of chunks of peppers and onions with a good amount of cheese. Home fries were fairly good. My husband's steak and eggs were well cooked and very tasty. The only minor complaint- under-done toast. It was warm enough to melt the butter, but not very crispy. Minor gripe. Our waitress came by to check on us a couple times and we never felt like we were lacking anything, even though it was just her tending to all the tables. We also got dessert to go, and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious carrot cake. SO good! My husband's chocolate cake was on the dry side. I'd definitely go back now that they have changed their layout and business style. This was a much better experience overall.

A nice place. My Mother in Law used them to cater our rehearsal dinner. The food was amazing but the space cramped. The owner had told us more people would fit than what did. I have also gone for breakfast and the food was great then as well. It seems if they can just get the service side of things under control that everything would be 5 star worthy.

I have mixed feelings about Dream Weaver. Their food is very good, however, the service is just super slow. I have given them the benefit of the doubt a couple times and have gone back, but it is hard for me to return when I know the level of service I am getting. Just not worth the wait for the food.

Great food at reasonable prices. Staff very friendly. We love it because it's a local business

The food here is typically excellent. The service is HORRIBLE! I was there for 25 minutes and nobody came to the table with drinks. I went with one other co-worker. A table of seven who was seated roughly ten minutes after us, and received their food before we did. Shortly after, after sitting their for twenty minutes, the staff tells me they're out of white bread. Co-workers order finally came, it was wrong. I asked for my money back and told the cashier the service was horrible, to which she replies with "okay". The owner Trish was behind her the entire time and said nothing. The cashier didn't even give me my correct change back. Replace EVERYBODY but the chef for better business. If you don't care about your customers, which they have made evident, then they no longer deserve my patronage.

This is a surprisingly charming little cafe / art gallery that also happens to provide catering services. I was looking for a nice breakfast in Prince Frederick and they were a perfect fit! I really enjoyed the breakfast quesedilla, and decided to take a few treats from the pastry case for the road - the peach & pecan bar was AWESOME, and at $1 a slice, it's an absolute steal.

Lovely place for breakfast!!! Needed a place fir breakfast and coffee on first weekend in town and what a lovely surprise! Eager to go back many times. Don't let very old strip mall turn you off, inside it's a Beautiful little joint -- very colorful with great menu.

Absolutely love this place! The food is off-the-hook. Have been there a few times. The Seafood Sub is our favorite. If it's not on the special board, ask for it and they'll make it for you. It should be on the regular menu. This is a huge sandwich, stuffed with a variety of seafood, with a lovely sauce. It's incredible! My companion ordered the "Francais", which is a French Dip. She is still thinking about that sandwich! It came with a pile of delicious fries, but you can choose from a variety of sides. The sandwich was fantastic and au jus was not salty, as it is in many restaurants. Wonderful flavors and textures here, all around. The desserts look wonderful too, but we never have room for them. The prices are good here. The quality of the food is wonderful and the portions are generous. The restaurant is lovely, charming and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The chef is awesome. The menu is diverse and interesting. There is definitely something for everyone. The vegetarians have many more interesting choices than most restaurants offer. Give these guys a try and you'll find yourself going back again and again. They also serve breakfast, but we haven't been in yet for that. We will though! We've heard rave reviews. This is a small business, folks. I'm sick of seeing chain restaurants popping up all over Prince Frederick and the surrounding area. Let's support local people and local small businesses!

Heard many good things and was looking forward to our visit. We did go late on a Sunday afternoon and perhaps arrived just after the Church crowd cleared out but the place was nearly empty and yet the servers all seemed confused and overwhelmed. The decor was very nice but the overall atmosphere was marred by a sound system that was set to the satellite radios channel guide station which constantly repeated what stations were available to subscribers. The menu is limited and portion sizes (even for kids) are absurdly large. Food was served cold and we were not checked on until we had decided to go ahead and eat it anyway. May try again and revise if warranted. Perhaps we just caught them at a bad time.

Best food in southern Maryland. The staff is always friendly, the owner Trish can always be seen working around the restaurant and making sure quality is up to par. There are so many items to choose from on the menu, and I have yet to have a bad one. Service is quick and great for healthy alternatives that are hard to come by in southern Maryland. Anything can be made to order to suit your needs. Sunday brunch is a big hit and always crowded. They also cater which is always a lovely affair.

We visited after church Sunday because of the good reviews. We were extremely disappointed in the food and the service was non-existent. I would give it barely a one star.

I don't usually leave my comfort zone. I have always ordered Their Cream Chip Beef on white toast. Delicious! Today, I had Their Rock Fish Wrap (well it was lunch time) with a side of cole slaw with a cup of cream of crab soup. The portion was so large, I couldn't eat it all, although I wanted it all. just couldn't do it.

I've been here a few times now and I truly enjoy it. I love the atmosphere, it's different than all the other places around. The food is good with big portions and is decently priced. The only downside is that they close so early.

Great local place that isn't a chain. I had the rockfish wrap and it was excellent. Reasonable prices.
